Warning, tiny bit of dark content near the end. But like, it's death note sooo...

Characters:

Rikki = Light

Emma = L

Cleo = Misa

Lewis = Matsuda

Miriam = Kiyomi

Zane = Mikami

Kim = Sayu

Elliot = Near, Mello, Matt

Miss Chatham = Ryuk

Now, despite character assignments I'm still giving cannon siblings. So Sayu is still Light's little sister, the wammy boys are L's etc. The roles are based off of personality, so not everything fits and I'll move things around. Like yeah, Ryuk is Chatham because him as a weird old ocean man with ominous advice is hysterical.

Plot:

Starts of pretty similar, will diverge.

Light and Misa go to high school at the Gold Coast, Australia. Light's mother is a marine biologist that works at a nearby institute, while his father still works in Japan as the chief of the NPA.

Misa lives there with her parents, and is close with Light. Ie, she follows him around and he puts up with her. She is also good friends with Matsuda, who studies with her occasionally.

L is the new transfer kid, who Light doesn't like because he keeps on challenging his intellect. Plus he's weird.

So of course Light gets put in a group biology project with him, along with Misa.

While brainstorming where to research, L asks about Mako Island. Light says the Island and the waters around it are too dangerous. L (in essence) calls him chicken.

That weekend, the two, and an unwilling Misa, take Sachiko's boat out to Mako. And the gas tank leaks. So, they row the short rest of the way to Mako.

Of course, there's no phone service, and no one will look for them until after the weekend. Light and L bicker on the beach until Misa makes them go setup camp on the shore, then look for higher ground to try and get reception.

While looking, Misa falls in a hole. L goes in to help her. Light falls into trying to lend them the rope. Stuck down there, they look for an exit, and find the moon pool.

After oooing and aweing, they figure out the pool is connected to the ocean due to tidal rings. They plan to swim out after L scopes it out. Problem, Misa can't swim.

But after encouraging words and promises to help her, they all get in the pool as the full moon rises over the mouth of the volcano.

Weird bubbles happen.

But they ignore it, swimming out to the ocean and back to their camp near shore, getting dry and going to sleep.

The next morning they go into the shallow water to look for samples for their project since they have nothing else to do.

And they all turn into fish.

They freak, Misa screams, it's a mess. They all crawl onto shore to try and figure this out, and as soon as they're dry, they turn back to normal.

Misa refuses to touch water again. L needs time to process what just happened. But Light, the little getter he is, goes for a swim.

And he loves it, it's the most awesome swimming experience he's ever had. Way better than swimming as a clumsy human. He convinces L, then Misa, and after they all start to get used to their tails, they're having the time of their lives.

Now, they can push the boat back to the mainland, and say that "luckily" the gas tank leaked right as they were getting back.

They get what they need for the project, and like the dorky 16 year olds they are, swear a pact to never tell anyone about this.

(Touta finds out a week later when Misa tried to go to a pool party.)

Miscellaneous/Plot Points

Misa shows up at school the following day in total beach girl aesthetic, including beach curls, shell/pearl jewelry, flowy clothes and wedges. L nearly smacks her upside the head. Light does.

They turn the moon pool into their own little hangout! Misa gets them all to buy fairy lights, tapestries, blankets, pillows, and even shelves for all of their stuff, along with a crap ton of batteries for the lights. It turns out surprisingly cozy.

They all hang out a lot for obvious reasons, which puts a chip in Kiyomi and Teru's shoulder. They've tried to be close to Light to no avail, but suddenly this L guy, and Misa who is now more than tolerated, are suddenly thick as thieves with him! They get bitchy with the two, especially L.

Misa made them all fishing net pouch-belts to put cool things they find during swims in.

The pool starts to look like a little treasure trove, since there is a LOT of cool stuff to find and the bottom of the ocean.

With the sheer amount of pearls and mother of pearl they find, Light starts to make accessories out of it. Misa is overjoyed and accepts the items with joy. L likes to watch Light tinker. Light doesn't mind him there.

The three, especially Light develop a superiority complex in regards to other people. It's based in insecurity about not being human anymore, but they do feel superior because of their powers.

L goes research nuts. A large portion of the moon pool wall looks like a mermaid conspiracy board, he wants to find any possible explanation. Light helps where he can, impressed with L's brain.

L was the first to find his powers, when he froze Kiyomi and Mikami to a wet sidewalk. Next was Light, after he boiled his annoying history teachers coffee all over his desk. Misa found her power a few days after, accidentally flooding her bathroom when she tried to bath.

The first full moon was... not good. Ryuk randomly showed up at the beach to warn Light, who discarded his words as meaningless blabbering. The three of them went moon crazy, and swam in the ocean until Misa got caught in an illegal fishing boat net.

The next morning, the boat was found sunken and destroyed, the charred and frozen bodies of the small were found with it.

None of them swam for three days.

But uh, yeah! They're a little pod, very protective of eachother :)

Misa likes to find starfish that match their hair colours and stick them on the boys' hair. They don't come off :)

It's the wammy boys that notice something up (they including Sayu are 10 btw) and they end up finding some of L's research. Watari just said it was probably a hobby when they showed him, but when they go to Sayu and they find a type of shell that is only found at diving depth in Light's room, they begin to think their theory of mermaids is warranted.

The trio is annoyed by the snoopyness, and now that they were technically murderers there was another level of urgency to keep this secret.

Unfortunately, mermaid hunters and scientists do start showing up, as "sitings" have increased due to underwater cameras.

Stakes rise and the three begin to ponder the benefits of staying. And the risks of going.

They start sabotaging. Finding the groups, their plans and evidence under the guise of mermaid enthusiasts. It works mostly, except for one group that keeps coming back. L finds himself impressed with how easily Light can manipulate them.

The three start going farther away during swims, able to go to places like Fiji or the Mediterranean in under an hour due to their extraordinary tails.

There is relationship drama. Misa is realizing her crush on Light is going no where, and he and L have started to become closer. Eventually they get over it, but lawlight is end game.

Kiyomi's jealousy deflates over time, and she begins to appreciate Misa without Light clouding her mind ;)

Emilia Clarimond (A Fate Master OC who is clever, out going, and sometimes snarky. Her magic is based on the stars, creating light barriers with a constellation pattern and shooting energy.)

Xia Malificia (A flirtatious, trouble making pirate who ate the fox zoan fruit. Her favorite thing to do is charm unsuspecting pirates or marines and robbing them blind.)

Custard Gretel (Custard is one of Big Mama's many many children who grew up around pirates. These pirates were true ruffians, pillaging wherever they went for treasure and anything else they wanted. Though they and Big Mama treated Custard well, their habits grew onto her, making her become quite a terrible child. She followed their example but in her own way, tricking others by feigning innocence as others were easily fooled by an adorable child.)

Final Fantasy 14:

Josephina Adrahgan (A Miqo’te from a family of nobles. After her family tried to arrange a marriage between her and another noble family, she decided to run away with her fat cat named Chubchub and ended up joining a troupe of Dancers and decided to travel with them)

Shay Pierina (A Miqo’te who was found as a child outside a small village that is  part of the Ul’dah kingdom. Adopted by kind Hyurs, she lived in poverty  but didn’t let it bother her and worked to protect her family. After discovering the Echo, she happened upon a member of the Scions and decided to join and travel away from home. becoming a Warrior of Light.)

Orabella Kalon (A Summoner from the First, Orabella is a scholar seeking to learn about the magic of her world. After wandering into the pixie land, she ends up captured but free some time later when Titania is defeated. Now she lives there studying the pixies.)

Bleach:

Hiromi Tori (A Soul Reaper in the 13th squad who is serious nature for the most part. Calm and collected outside of battle, she isn’t much for small talk and tends to get straight to the point. Her mind is usually focused on the mission and protecting everyone. She can get annoyed at distractions and is often training when not working.)

Selene Fenagari: (WIP Selene is…a dork. Easily distracted and acts rather dog-like, loving getting petted, chasing balls or animals, or even shifting and barking at cats. When on duty, she does her absolute best, serving the Gotei 13 in stopping villains or just protecting the people while out on patrol. Despite her silly antics, the people adore her and shower her with gifts and headpats.)

Pokemon:

Hex Maniac Kayleen: (Kayleen grew up around the occult, her parents super into it and trying to summon the paranormal as well as learn magic. Kayleen was terrified of it but slowly learned to embrace it when she met a friendly Gastly. From there she befriended other ghost and dark Pokemon, the scaredy-cat girl not enjoying it from time to time.

For a long time she was super shy and had social anxiety, but decided to be brave and try to face it by becoming a Pokemon trainer. Now alongside her ghost and dark type Pokemon cheering her on, she desires to learn and make friends and meet Pokemon she has never seen before. Has a Soul Eater verse under Alt. Verses!)

Naruto:

Midori Mihata (A clumsy, scared ninja girl who one would possibly say is the worst ninja ever. Wants to make her clan proud and tries hard to be the best she can be. Also gets rather flustered and shy around boys. Has a FF14 verse!)

Kiyomi Tenshi (Loud, rambunctious, and rather hyper and reckless, Kiyomi is also one that some would possibly say is a terrible ninja. She fights more like a martial artist, punching and kicking and running straight into bad guys.)

Naoko Shizuko (The only one who acts like a true ninja in the trio of Kunoichi, Naoko is soft spoken, almost monotone voice and always with an unreadable expression. Despite this, she is incredibly smart and well trained in her ninja techniques which involve shadow tricks. She is the one to get the other two out of danger most of the time.)

Fire Emblem Three Houses:

Diana Fotieni (Diana comes from Faerghus and is striving to become a knight of the kingdom like her mother before her. A student at the academy under the Blue Lions house, she is studious and trains hard, mostly to show the head of the house Dimitri her worth as a possible knight as he is heir to the throne. Has a Kingdom Hearts verse and a Final Fantasy XV verse as well!)

Genshin Impact:

Kyana Aeira (A Pyro Vision user from Mondstadt who dreams of becoming a Knight of Favonius one day. She works hard taking on random tasks from the people to prove herself capable. She is determined and optimistic and tends to listen more to her emotions than think with logic. Also has a One Piece verse but also many aus and can fit anywhere with heroes!)

Yueliang Song (An Electro Claymore user who is an adventurer working for the adventurer’s guild but is also a dancer on the side, performing for festivals held usually in Morax’s honor. Confident in her skills as an adventurer and her dancing, she works hard day and night.)

Iyumi Akuma  (Iyumi is a Fatui Mage hailing from Snezhnaya who is on the prowl for someone cute she can call hers. To most she acts vicious and snobby, ready to electrocute them should they get on her nerves.

But should she find the someone she wants, she becomes more adoring and flirty, chasing after them until she can have them. Which can turn into an aggressive chase should the other not want her. Also has a Pokemon verse, demon/vampire verse, dark goddess verse and many more!)

Amatus Koheikaze (A Oni girl from the Red Oni tribe of Inazuma, Amatus works hard as a samurai of her clan, fighting with a katana as well as using her Anemo vision. Though she acts rather serious, she holds a softer side that cares deeply for her tribe, desiring to protect them no matter what. Her mother is a human while her father is an Oni.)

My Hero Academia:

Tia “Usagi” Fayte (Bubbly kind of girly girl whose quirk is magnetism. She can make anything she touches become magnetic, even things that aren’t normally something you can stick magnets to like trees. She uses this alongside rollerblading to fight and calls herself Usagi for the jump tricks she can pull off while blading around. A student at UA. Also has a The World Ends with You verse!)

Kalliphae Myressei (A moth woman with the ability to heal others using a powder that emits from her. She is a princess of a far off kingdom. Acts with a noble air and always tries to follow her heart. She is a nurse of UA.)

Nier Automata:

10B (A Battle Unit android who is more emotional than the androids of YorHa usually are. She is playful and a tad flirtatious, calling people darling just for the fun of it. She is also very protective of humans or anyone she deeply cares for to the point where she will kill whoever harmed them)

Yugioh:

Miyuki Tenshi (A sweet, innocent duelist who uses a deck with angelic creatures revolving around the Sanctuary in the Sky card. She has a duel spirit, Happy Lover, and has yet to meet anyone else with one or that can see her. Has a Goddess verse alongside Iyumi, a Fairy verse and an Angel verse!)

Monster Hunter:

Sonafuwa (A Paolumu who gained the ability to turn human. Sonafuwa is shy and tends to stay in the trees and away from hunters so she won’t get hunted. When she meets someone friendly, she becomes more calm and is happy to make a new friend)

Sakura (A Pink Rathian that gained the ability to turn human. Territorial at first but can become friendly if she sees the other means no harm. Prissy and doesn’t mind Hunters so long as she isn’t their target.)

Twisted Wonderland:

Colette Eirina (Twisted from Giselle from Enchanted! Colette is the princess of a small kingdom. It’s surrounded by a river, forest and mountains in the back, the kingdom known for its mining of gems from those mountains.

Colette usually stays in her castle but got accepted into RSA as a student. She tends to cause a lot of trouble at home with her ditzy behavior. In fact her air headed ways gets her kidnapped and held for ransom a lot which has really hurt the kingdom financially.)

Fandomless:

Zalira Deona: (A succubus who doesn’t really do succubus things. Her mom and dad are a powerful incubus and succubus pair who wanted her to follow in their footsteps. But all Zalira wanted was to laze around and eat human snacks and indulge in their culture (like manga!). Before they could send her to a demon academy, she ran away from home and ended up among humans.)

The Augustina Sisters: Iris, Lillianne and Camillia, the three princesses of a kingdom called Lapis. They are gifted in water and ice elemental magic. Lily is the oldest and is soft and mature, her older sister personality showing to even those who are not her sisters. Iris is very flirtatious and playful and quite carefree. Camillia the youngest is shy, sometimes prissy, but can warm up to others.

Cheza Fènghuáng (Princess of the city of Nán Sòng, Cheza is rather anti-social and a major bookworm, usually seen cooped up in her private library. Her kingdom is a matriarchy, led by her mischievous mother. Cheza has the ability to conjure fire and turn into a phoenix)

Seraphaura (Seraphaura is from a clan of lamias who hunt humans for fun and for food while also eating other things. But Seraphaura is completely different from them. She has seen an innocent human devoured and wishes to protect them and learn about them. Because of this, her clan laughed at her and was bullied and ridiculed for it. But despite that, she still wishes to learn about humans and their culture.)

Vivianne Noira (Growing up alone in the world has hardened Vivi. She can be untrusting towards strangers though some have shown her some kindness to help her out. She can come off as brash, even possibly rude. But she doesn’t mean to be. Vivi feels she must be tough in order to survive. However if she sees someone in need, she may go out of her way to help them depending on what they need help with.)

Angeline Tenebris (A vampire from a family of vampires sworn to keep their race a secret. They are respected nobles of a town, well-known for their business and wealth. Though most of her family tries to keep their status clean, Angeline is a bit rebellious and curious about the world and frequently sneaks out to learn more about it.)

Fayeth Neri (A dragon girl who is rather air-headed and sometimes slow to speak, making it seem like nothing is going on in her head. And maybe nothing is. She is very laid back and cheerful, always having a lazy smile on her face.)

Aiux Umbrangeli (An assassin who has been trained since she was a child. She wields the ability to create objects out of shadows as well as hide in them. Emotionless and unfeeling towards her target but awkward around others)

Chloe Thaleia (Mischievous thief from a family of thieves looking for her older brother who left home when she was a child. Will steal from you playfully then give it back once she’s caught. Has a magical greatsword she stole that can use the four elements but she has no idea how to use it.)

Aiolos Thaleia (Older brother of Chloe. After witnessing his uncle (who had taught them all they know about being a thief) break the family code by murdering someone, he decided to go on a different path and leave the family. He strives to be a knight or a guard, something he sees as more honorable.)

Ai Malificia (A sweet, innocent girl who was sheltered due to her overprotective parents. She grew up around flowers and a flower shop and developed magic pertaining to plants. Has a Fire Emblem Three Houses verse and a Goddess verse!)

Azathira (Sci Fi OC! Azathira is a well trained assassin alien. Her species thrives in being the best at fighting and killing and she is no different. She makes her living taking on bounties and delights in taking them down. Then uses the money to partake in a feast wherever she goes.

On the side, she sometimes steals things as well, mostly from the person she killed. She travels around taking jobs and simply exploring the universe all on her own. Though a small part of her almost wishes she could have some company for once.)

Melfina (Sci Fi OC! Melfina when she was young was in a bad accident that cost her an arm. She was able to get a prosthetic cybernetic replacement and decided she wanted to learn how to take care and maintain it. From there, she grew to like fixing such mechanisms and became a mechanic who specializes in cybernetic parts or androids.)

Ourania Thanos (A dragon that can turn into a human. Cocky, egotistical, and loves to  show off to others. Loves to fight people just to fight strong opponents  and also loves to eat lots of meat and drinks lots of ale.)

Nikki Irving (An oddball Alchemist of a girl who stumbled upon a cursed Eldritch Being who had been shrunk and turned into a tiny octopus. She decided to keep it as a pet, named it Tickles, and has no idea it is slowly influencing her mind. Has a Pokemon verse!)

Aku Yazoi (A wannabe punk boy who is hot tempered and tries to act cool but is a sucker for cute girls. Is kind of a dweeb. Loves to race on his motorcycle. Has a Yugioh 5Ds verse!)

Sylvao Ter’on (A clever demon in charge of a mercenary group including a couple of odd twins he found as children. He can be ruthless to those who oppose or disobey him but otherwise treats whoever follows him with kindness and helps them with anything they need. Also has a vampire verse!)

Opal Ter’on (Also simply known as “The Witch” is the twin sister of Klaus “The Werewolf” and serves a man named Sylvao. Calm and almost emotionless, Opal seems to care not for the company of others and is devout only to Sylvao (and prefers hanging with him).

She also picks on her brother sometimes when he is being a nuisance. Opal is a talented mage who can use all sorts of magic as well as make all sorts of potions. Between that and her witch-like style, she earned the witch nickname others have given her.)

Klaus Ter'on (A wolf boy who serves under a clever demon named Sylvao alongside his twin sister, a witch girl named Opal. Klaus can be rabid and wild when in a fight but set him next to an attractive lady and he turns into a perverted dog. Though if treated with kindness (and ear scratches), he can be quick to tame and will follow you anywhere (though would never go against Sylvao’s orders.)

More about these girls under the cut.

The one on the left is Suma, the youngest Fujihara child. She's 21 before the timeskip; was formerly a member of the Sapphire Serpents [ her older sister, Kiyomi's, crew + the skeletal remains of their parent's crew ] before she left one year before the story starts. She spent that year bartering her way across the East Blue on merchant ships by offering her services as a Sharpshooter.

Suma ends up joining the Strawhats after she tries to pickpocket Sanji in Alabasta before everything went Wrong. She tags along ( not of her own will, thanks Zoro for grabbing and running ), before she does join them officially. She maybe has a lil flirty thing going on with Ace.

She and Zoro also have late night conversations while taking the night shift; she navigates while he keeps watch. He knows the most about her ( majorly fucked up ) childhood & teen years.

Mizuki [ on the right ] is Suma's older sister, the fourth child in the Fujihara family. She is the literal problem child of the family. She was kidnapped when she was six by members who mutinied against her parents and was kept for almost three weeks in a shack on a small island before she was rescued. Her love for her family died when she was thirteen & had her tongue forcibly split ( all 5 children had the procedure done; only Kiyomi & Kiyoko [ oldest children ] agreed to it. ) She essentially broke when, at 18, her parents branded them all with a 'P' so they could never become Marines ( that failed with child #3, Junpei ).

Mizuki snapped; she killed their parents while they slept, jumped ship a month later, and for the past decade has been making it on her under the alias of the Deadman's Daughter. She ate the Hebi Hebi no Mi Model: Viper fruit, giving her a ridiculously quick strike as well as some funky effects.

She joined Buggy's crew shortly before the Orange Town event as a contortionist and spy. It's handy to have someone around who can fit into small places for a long amount of time. She wears this green themed clown paint that is heavily modeled after the 1920s makeup trends.

May or may not have the hots for her captain.

Bonjour tout le monde ! Comment allez-vous ? En discutant rapidement sur Bluesky, je me suis rendue compte que Deep Sea Aquarium MagMell était méconnu et... Résultat, je me suis dit qu'un avis ne ferait pas de mal pour ce manga qui le mérite réellement. J'espère que ce dernier vous donnera l'envie de vous y intéresser un petit peu, en tout cas ! Enfin, si vous êtes prêts... Plongeons dans les abysses ! Keitaro Amagi est un jeune homme passionné par les océans. Enfant, son père lui a transmis cette fascination pour ces mondes mal connus. Devenu adulte, il répond alors tout naturellement à une embauche pour devenir simple balayeur au tout nouveau Magmell Deep Sea Aquarium. Ce gigantesque complexe sous-marin vient d'ouvrir et offre à ses visiteurs une découverte inédite de la faune sous-marine, à 200 m de profondeur. La passion de Keitaro l'emmènera sur des chemins inattendus au service du Magmell. Auprès du professeur Minato, le balayeur devra apprendre les secrets des calamars géants, sauver une espèce en danger, se confronter aux pêcheurs, et apprendre à préserver autant que possible un monde marin toujours plus mis en danger par les activités humaines. Être entraîné dans les fonds marins, découvrir plus de choses sur celui-ci, sur la faune s’y trouvant, des espèces parfois insoupçonnées ou connues tout en apprenant plus sur elles, sur ces êtres souvent méconnus… Même pour ceux que nous pourrions apercevoir à la surface, pour ceux étant des légendes. C'est ce que nous permet Deep Sea Aquarium MagMell de Kiyomi Sugishita et ce que nous pouvons découvrir grâce aux éditions VEGA devenue VEGA/Dupuis depuis son rachat. L’histoire permet de mettre en avant plusieurs d’entre-elles et de se rendre compte de leurs importances, même lorsqu’elles sont méconnues. J’ai beaucoup apprécié les différentes petites fiches à la fin des chapitres qui permettaient d’en savoir plus, d’engranger des informations sur ces êtres. J’ai réellement appris et j’ai été ravie de voir le Kraken mentionné, moi qui apprécie énormément cette créature légendaire ! Ce qui était logique vu le chapitre en question, mais passons ce détail. Les dessins sont réellement bien travaillés, je me perdais dedans, je voulais rester sur les pages pour me perdre quelques instants face à ces créatures, ces lieux dans lesquels je voudrais mettre les pieds tant cela serait plaisant d’être sous l’eau pour les voir dans leur milieu naturel pour certaines. Les animaux sont reconnaissables sans difficulté tout comme les personnages ou les décors, des décors qui font plaisir aux mirettes. Ils nous plongent dans une atmosphère propre au titre, apaisante et en qui donne réellement envie d’en savoir plus, d’aller plus en profondeur, d’y aller tout simplement. Il est relativement doux à mes yeux tout en étant précis, mais nous permet de ne pas nous perdre entre les planches et surtout de reconnaître tout ce que l’on croise. Rien que la couverture est réellement captivante et nous plonge dans cet univers... Une couverture qui me fait réellement craquer ! Pour ce qui est des personnages, ils sont divers et variés. J’apprécie Keitaro qui est passionné par cet « univers » sous-marin et travaille à MagMell en tant que nettoyeur. C’est un personnage remplit de douceur, mais qui passe outre certains traits de son caractère afin de parler de ce qu’il aime. On ressent son amour pour la faune abyssale et c’est une belle chose, à mes yeux. Les autres personnages ne sont pas en reste, même si nous les découvrons également dans ce tome et que j’ai hâte de les voir un peu plus, d’en savoir plus sur eux. Curiosité oblige. Et pourtant, ce premier volume pose déjà de belles bases au niveau de certaines relations, permet de voir quelques évolutions possibles. Difficile de ne pas voir notre héros s’épanouir dans ce milieu qu’il connaît bien, de s’attacher à lui. Le monde marin est souvent connu à la surface, mais lorsque l’on mentionne ce qu’il y a plus bas cela reste un mystère, un élément que les gens méconnaissent ou que l’on préfère garder mystérieux. Des légendes l’entourant, il y en a énormément allant du Kraken jusqu’au Casier de Davy Jones, des légendes pouvant posséder des fonds de vérité, même si certaines resteront probablement à ce stade ou changeront de nom. Calmar géant, abysse… tout cela existe réellement, pouvait faire peur à une certaine époque ou fasciner… Et pour ce dernier élément, cela fascine toujours… D’autant plus dans cette œuvre qui nous y plonge, sans danger, de manière à nous happer un peu plus… A nous plonger dans des méandres faisant briller nos yeux et me donnant envie de continuer l’aventure, d’en savoir plus à nouveau. J'ai hâte de lire la suite, de retrouver les personnages, les créatures, de voir tout ce qu'il y a aura tout simplement ! Et vous, connaissez-vous le titre ? L'avez-vous lu ?

if you enjoy marine biology (especially deep sea creatures) and like to read comics/manga, i highly recommend deep sea aquarium magmell (or magmell shinkai suizokukan in japanese)!! it’s an ongoing slice of life manga by kiyomi sugishita about a guy who loves aquatic life and works at an undersea aquarium. the art style and illustrations of the fish are absolutely breathtaking, and the characters are really well done in my opinion. it’s such a refreshing read and also super informative about different deep sea creatures!! if you end up liking it please let me know because now i need people to talk about it with :)

How I look & sound trying to explain how all of my muses are interconnected somehow.

Like even just explaining how my OCs are connected is a fucking mess okay so

SUMA. Suma is a Fujihara. She met Blair ( Kidd Pirates OC ) a few months before she joined the Straw Hats. Blair and Suma are acquaintances at best. Suma met MALEKAI when she was 9 on board the Sapphire Serpent, her parents' ship. It was a brief encounter; Malekai was asking for directions.

MAI: Whitebeard Pirate, has met many folks over the years, knows Shanks due to his meetings with Newgate. PERSONALLY KNOWS VASILLE because Vasille saved her life once nearly a decade ago. They still keep in touch if their ships are in close enough distance.

MARINEFORD ARC - -

KIYOMI AND MIZUKI: Fight against Malekai and his crew during Marineford, when Malekai targets Kiyomi. Mizuki escapes unharmed; Kiyomi loses her arm to Malekai.

JUNPEI: Meets Malekai the night before at a dinner to celebrate the victory ( the Marines were too cocky & celebrated too soon ). He and Malekai get into a SCUFFLE. Malekai shows his strength, Junpei goes down.

ASTORIA: Is well acquainted with Junpei due to her working as an ally for the World Government. She reports to him. She knows of Malekai, but refuses to interact with him after a comment was made that her scales would make for a lovely piece of armor.

MALEKAI: Knows Kiyoko due to docking at Janoshima five years prior to Marineford. They got on well. Knows the Fujihara as a whole; they were once on his radar, but not anymore. Was present at Marineford when Ayame was murdered.

AYAME: Knows of Malekai; tried to avoid him at all costs. Failed due to Marineford. Ayame also meets Cyrus, a Marine Captain who is involved with Aokiji.

CYRUS: also known as FIRESTORM, a Marine Captain who likes fire a little too much. Cyrus fights against Jun'Ichi & ends up with one of Jun's sickles in their hand. Literally.

JUN'ICHI: Black Mambo, Crocodile's Guard Dog. Knows Vasille due to the meeting between the Tombstone Pirates and Crocodile.

VASILLE: ^^^^.

Colette Eirina (Princess of Maas Kingdom and a rather air headed one at that. A hopeless romantic who reads tons of romance novels and is very naive but a sweet and kind person willing to help others. Though she mainly needs help herself.)  

Genshin Impact:

Kyana Aeira (A Pyro Vision user from Mondstadt who dreams of becoming a Knight of Favonius one day. She works hard taking on random tasks from the people to prove herself capable. She is determined and optimistic and tends to listen more to her emotions than think with logic. Also has a One Piece verse but also many aus and can fit anywhere with heroes!)

Iyumi Akuma  (Iyumi is a Fatui Mage hailing from  Snezhnaya who  is on the prowl for someone cute she can call hers. To most she acts vicious and snobby, ready to electrocute them should they get on her   nerves. But should she find the someone she wants, she becomes more   adoring and flirty, chasing after them until she can have them. Which can turn into an aggressive chase should the other not want her. Also has a Pokemon verse, demon/vampire verse, dark goddess verse and many more!)

Yueliang Song (An Electro Claymore user who is an adventurer working for the  adventurer’s guild but is also a dancer on the side, performing for festivals held usually in Morax’s honor. Confident in her skills as an adventurer and her dancing, she works hard day and night.)

Fandomless:

Sylvao Ter’on (A clever demon in charge of a mercenary group including a couple of odd twins he found as children. He can be ruthless to those who oppose or disobey him but otherwise treats whoever follows him with kindness and helps them with anything they need. Also has a vampire verse!)

Kingdom Hearts:

Ai Malificia (The Somebody of Xia who lives in Radiant Garden. A sweet, innocent girl who was sheltered due to her overprotective parents. She grew up around flowers and a flower shop and developed magic pertaining to plants which carried into her Nobody form. Has a Fire Emblem Three Houses verse and a Goddess verse!)

Xia Malificia  (A Nobody who is flirtatious, mischievous, and a bit manipulative. She wants to become a part of Organization XIII and use them for her own   ends. A trouble maker. Has multiple AUs including a One Piece AU.) 

Diana Fotieni  (A keyblade wielder with a keyblade that is supposed to represent a  balance of light and darkness. But Diana believes all darkness should be eradicated to protect the people. Acts rather knight like. Has a Pokemon verse, Final Fantasy 15 verse and a Fire Emblem Three Houses verse!)

One Piece:

Xia Malificia (A flirtatious, trouble making pirate who ate the fox zoan fruit. Her favorite thing to do is charm unsuspecting pirates or marines and robbing them blind.)

Fandomless/Naruto:

Midori Mihata (A clumsy, scared ninja girl who one would possibly say is the worst ninja ever. Wants to make her clan proud and tries hard to be the best she can be. Also gets rather flustered and shy around boys. Has a FF14 verse!)

Kiyomi Tenshi (Loud, rambunctious, and rather hyper and reckless, Kiyomi is also one that some would possibly say is a terrible ninja. She fights more like a martial artist, punching and kicking and running straight into bad guys.)

Naoko Shizuko (The only one who acts like a true ninja in the trio of Kunoichi, Naoko is soft spoken, almost monotone voice and always with an unreadable expression. Despite this, she is incredibly smart and well trained in her ninja techniques which involve shadow tricks. She is the one to get the other two out of danger most of the time.)

Pokemon:

Piper/Peeps (An Altaira Gijinka girl who can’t speak human very well and tends to just say Peep or chirp or hum. Very innocent and naive and loves to give hugs to people and can be a tad air-headed.)

Fairy Tail:

Emilia Clarimond (Emilia is a Celestial Wizard with the Jade Zodiac Keys, Mouse,  Monkey, Tiger and Sheep! She is clever, stubborn, hard headed but can become friendly when she gets close to someone. To her, her Zodiac summons are like family. Has a Fate series Master verse!)

Monster Hunter:

Sonafuwa (A Paolumu who gained the ability to turn human. Sonafuwa is shy and  tends to stay in the trees and away from hunters so she won’t get hunted. When she meets someone friendly, she becomes more calm and is happy to make a new friend.)

Sakura (A Pink Rathian that gained the ability to turn human. Territorial at first but can become friendly if she sees the other means no harm. Prissy and doesn’t mind Hunters so long as she isn’t their target.)
